INTRODUCING VIRGIN FIBRILATED POLYPROPYLENE FIBRE “SMART- FIBER” for Reinforcement Concrete, Plaster and other Construction Applications.

The Introductory range includes Micro and Macro Synthetic (Polypropylene) Fibers, extruded, processed and cut into specific lengths to suit different applications of construction. The product can be used in ready mixed concrete, pre-cast concrete and Sprayed concrete in both underground and over-ground applications. The profiled flat surface of the fiber improves bond between the fiber and the concrete resulting in remarkable increase in Average Residual Flexural Strength of the Concrete. Use of the material in required dosage also helps increase the Average Compressive Strength. This can be used as temperature-shrinkage and plastic-shrinkage reinforcement in concrete.

SMART-FIBER Micro Synthetic Fiber is designed to reduce the occurrence of plastic shrinkage cracking and plastic settlement. It enhances the surface properties and the durability of the hardened surface of the product. The fibers are cut to lengths of 3, 6, 12 or 18mm with a nominal thickness of 50 Microns. These fibers are also treated with surfactant to improve dispersion and bonding. These can perform in stringent conditions, offer increased performance. Perfect bee-hive construction of the fiber provides for much needed reinforcements. It enhances the toughness of the concrete without losing flexibility, thus providing for better strength and well finished concrete surface.

Packing & Dispensing

SMART-FIBER fibers are packed into plastic bags. The fibers should be emptied in the mixer and the bag should not be dropped in the mixer. The fiber is available in 1 Kilo and 5 Kilo packing to suit the dosage and type of concrete plans. This can be made available in bigger bags also based on the requirements.


The SMART-FIBER fibers must be stored in a clean place and dry conditions, under cover and away fromsun anda possibility of damage.

Quality Assurance

The product is manufactured using most appropriate manufacturing methods and suitable care has been taken to produce the goods to meet the exacting standards in the industry. The goods were monitored constantly throughout the process of manufacturing for quality of the products and packing. Quality audits are conducted and a batch-wise record is maintained which can be assessed in case of investigation.

Typical application method

The fiber is best dispersed when added to a forced action batching device prior to discharging the concrete into a truck. First add required quantity of the SMART- FIBER fibers along-with half the quantity of the required water for mixing. Then add all other ingredients including required balance quantity of water. The concrete should be mixed at full speed to ensure uniform fiber dispersion. In case of site mixing a minimum of 70 drum revolution at full speed should be undertaken.

  • 900 to 1000 Grams per Cubic Meter
